New textThe demand for sustainable construction and the associated classification of the building materials used is constantly increasing. In order to meet these requirements, the German Construction Chemicals Industry Association has drawn up so-called model environmental declarations (model EPD) and had them verified by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt eV (IBU). In the meantime, the model EPDs for concrete admixtures have been adopted by the European Concrete Admixtures Association EFCA and transferred to the European level.

As a member company of the German Construction Chemical Industry Association and manufacturer of concrete additives, we can use the EPD guidelines to check whether our products fall within the scope of the sample EPDs and whether the data contained therein are representative of the respective product. If the requirements are met, corresponding EPDs are declared for the respective products.
