Application

BITUMATIX® is a mastic asphalt granulate that can be processed hot and is ideal for repairing cracks / potholes.

• The installation sites must be frost-free and clean
  (free of oil and grease). Loose components are to be removed

• The damaged area is slightly preheated with a gas burner

• Apply BITUMASTIX to the damaged area and heat evenly to at least 160 °C using a gas burner until a homogeneous mass is obtained

• A maximum of 2 cm per layer can be installed; deeper damaged areas must be installed in layers. Distribute with a suitable tool (asphalt and wooden squeegee).

• In order to dull the surface for traffic, it should be sprinkled with a suitable grit (e.g. 1-3 mm).
  The traffic clearance can take place immediately after cooling down.

Can be stored indefinitely if unopened and stored frost-free in the original container. Protect from intense sunlight and extreme heat. Opened containers must be closed properly after use.
