A fusible bitumen joint tape for joints and seams in asphalt road construction
Application
BITUBAND® joint tape, made on the basis of bitumen, is used in road construction to fuse asphalt coverings in the vertical connection area (also against concrete) and to seal folded concrete pipes, e.g. for road culverts and shafts. Profile and weight tolerances of up to 10% are due to the manufacturing process. BITUBAND® joint tape is a high-quality bitumen joint tape made from polymer-modified road construction bitumen that has very good expansion and adhesion properties.

Roll out the BITUBAND® joint tape and, after flaring on one side, press onto the primed, dry flank. Make sure that the hot mix is at a sufficient temperature so that when compacting, it fuses homogeneously with the belt.
