BITU® MS-Plus

Special binder based on bitumen, oils and additional additives BITU® MS-Plus is a river bitumen consisting of road construction bitumen and slow-volatile oils (mineral oil basis), as well as an adhesive BITU® MS-Plus is used for the production of storable cold mix

Application

BITU® MS-Plus is delivered and processed at elevated temperature (max. 80°C) by tanker. The mineral used to produce the mix (dried in the drum) is also preheated (drying drum, max. 70°C) and fed to the compulsory mixer.

Characteristics

BITU® MS-Plus is anhydrous, frost-resistant and can be stored in closed containers indefinitely.
Prolonged storage at temperatures above 50° or overheating, for example due to direct sunlight, should be avoided

Example of a mix suitable for cold paving 0/8 (minerals according to TL Min-StB 83)

95% by weight fine chippings
5% w/w filler
100% mineral by weight
+ 4 - 5.5% parts by weight BITU-MS-Plus
In the summer months, the amount of BITU® MS Plus can be lower than in winter due to the heat
The mix produced in this way can be temporarily stored in boxes or filled into plastic bags or hobbocks
This product is used for repairing potholes, wide cracks, etc
