BITU® Rissfix E – can be processed cold

For sealing cracks in the asphalt

Application

BITU® Rissfix E is used to permanently close cracks on asphalt surfaces. Typical damage patterns are net-like cracks, fine hairline cracks and individual cracks no larger than 5 mm.

• BITU® Rissfix E is a solvent-free, polymer-modified bitumen mass
• The material is ready for processing
• No primer is required for flank adhesion
• The crack profile is completely filled
• Only marginally affects the appearance of the asphalt surface

The substrate must be dry and free of dust and dirt, residual moisture is tolerable. The cracks must be cleaned thoroughly. Covering that is no longer bonded to the substrate must be removed. Breakouts are preferably leveled out with BITUREP® L. The material can be cast or drawn over the crack with a rubber squeegee. In principle, you should work with a drag shoe, as this allows for optimal dosing and filling. After processing, the treated area must be covered with dust-free chippings 2/5. Approval for rolling traffic can take place immediately. In the case of very deep cracks, post-treatment is necessary!
