repair train

The repair train is a combination machine for the production of full surface treatments or partial repairs.

The repair train is a largely automated special machine.

It has an insulated, heatable tank that contains the bituminous binder. From here the binder is pumped to the spray boom and applied to the road. Then, from a funnel-shaped grit trough, grit is scattered over the sprayed surface in doses via a discharge roller. The road surface is checked for pavement damage by one or two employees from the moving repair train. The operator stations are located in a safe, shielded part. As soon as a damaged area is seen, the nozzles of the spray bar are adjusted using a hand lever according to the required length and width. The slider on the grit spreader is then automatically opened and closed again at these points. Due to the low fall height of the chippings, it is immediately integrated into the binder film. The hydraulic roller tubes press the chippings into the binder film and smooth the affected areas.

Result:
A seamless transition to the existing road surface is thus possible and we are able to guarantee consistent quality from the first to the last square meter. Another advantage: the road can be opened to traffic again quickly.

Advantages:

  • Improved quality through constant, precise dosing of binder and grit (savings of up to 30% possible)
  • Increased economy through targeted use
  • Tedious manual work is mostly replaced by the repair train
  • Increased traffic safety through precise chip metering
  • Colored grit can e.g. B. also bike and hiking trails can be edited functionally
  • Existing road markings are retained
  • Due to the compact work equipment, the flow of traffic is only slightly impeded
