BITUFIX® L – Porenfüllmasse
Ready-to-install pore filling compound for surface sealing
BITUFIX® L is a ready-to-use, solvent-based pore filling compound for surface sealing of porous asphalt pavements. The material can be used for the after-treatment of asphalt surfaces that have become too rough, as well as for repairing defects and seams. BITUFIX® L forms a firm connection with the base and has a regenerating effect on the binder of the old asphalt base.
Application
BITUFIX® L is preferably used in the following areas:
- Surface sealing of asphalt pavements
- Pore filling of new asphalt surfaces
- Temporary sealing of asphalt binders or base layers, eg on site roads
- Repair of aged asphalt surface layers
- Traffic clearance at 40 km/h can take place immediately after spreading

BITUFIX® L must be stirred thoroughly before use. The surface to be treated must be dry and clean. The outside temperature should not fall below 5°C. Unevenness or potholes must be repaired in good time before sealing. BITUFIX® L is not suitable for profile compensation or thick coatings. The pore filling compound is poured onto the substrate, distributed with a rubber squeegee and drawn off thinly. For large areas, from 5,000 square meters, the use of the sludge installation device is recommended. In general, one layer is sufficient for sealing. The treated surface can also be dusted with sand to make it dull.

The material consumption of BITUFIX® L pore filling compound depends on the nature and structure of the substrate:
- for asphalt concrete: approx. 0.8 - 1.3 kg / m²
- for asphalt binders and base layers

storage
BITUFIX® L can be stored unopened in the original container for at least 12 months.
