Application

Casting compound for casting large and small pavers of all kinds. BITUFUG® PM can also be used to seal low-load joints in buildings made of concrete, masonry or reinforced concrete. Quality according to ZTV Fug-StB 01 and tested according to TL FUG-StB 15

processing

It should only be used in dry weather and at temperatures above 5°C. The joints must be clean and dry. Loose components are to be removed. The joint depth must be at least 1.5 times the joint width, but not less than 12 mm. Immediately before the grouting work, the joints are usually blown out with compressed air. In principle, the joint flanks and the joint base must be pre-treated with BITUSOL® primer. If it starts to rain, the pouring should be stopped temporarily. Joints more than 20 mm deep must be cast in 2 work steps. The second casting must be carried out immediately after the first layer has cooled.

melting

Melt the mass blocks slowly at a temperature of 150° C, stirring or turning occasionally. The temperature can at times be up to 10% higher or lower. However, a temperature of over 200° C should definitely be reached.

weather

The work should only be carried out in dry weather and at temperatures above 5°C. The material contracts as it cools. For this reason, the sealing compound must be installed with an overhang. Necessary recasting work should be done on the shiny, clean surface of the first cast.

consumption

approx. 1.4 kg/l joint content. The consumption of BITUSOL-Voranstrich is approx. 3% of the casting compound required.
