Mesh-Track is a steel-based structural asphalt reinforcement solution

The Mesh Track road rehabilitation process is a new method of repairing roads economically. The renovation consists of the components Mesh Track steel mesh and the thin layer in cold installation (DSK). The Mesh Track Combi Paving is installed between the existing defective road surface and the new asphalt overlay. In this process, the structure of the steel mesh serves as a stress-absorbing intermediate layer. The slurry layer serves as a sealing membrane with strain absorbing properties. Due to the special coating of the steel mesh, it has a 3x better corrosion resistance than galvanizing.


Mesh Track is used, among other things, for:

  • Reflection cracks on unstable substrate
  • Shifts in the asphalt surface - for example in moor and mountain areas
  • Deformations - on undersized roads
  • Reflection cracks in asphalt pavement on concrete roads (lean concrete based)
  • Pushing/shearing movements, for example when widening roads
  • Net tears caused by overloading on a substructure that is too weak


The main functions of the steel mesh:

  • Absolute minimization of deformations in the covering
  • Absorption of tensile stresses below the asphalt layer
  • Loads are optimally distributed
  • Higher toughness of the forest
